Our story

We're so glad you'll be there. There's a longer story here — how we met, the years since, and everything that got us to this point — and we're looking forward to telling it properly, in person. For now: thank you for being someone we wanted there. We can't wait to see you.

  1. How we met

    It started with a Facebook poke -- Laura's, aimed at Paul. A small, slightly cheeky opening move, and somehow it worked: one poke turned into a conversation, and the conversation never really stopped.

  3. The first date

    Our first date was drinks at the Shipwrights, right on Padstow's North Quay. Nothing fancy -- just good conversation by the harbour, and the start of every date that's followed since.

  4. The proposal

    Paul proposed in Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands. Some moments are better shown than told -- the video below is exactly as it happened.

What's the dress code?

Smart -- and worth packing a layer, since the Cornish coast can turn on you by evening.

Is there parking?

For the ceremony, please use the Link Road Car Park in Padstow, a short walk from St Petroc's Church. For the reception, there's parking at the Well Parc itself, with more around the back.

Are children welcome?

Yes -- children are very welcome at both the ceremony and the reception. We're so glad to have the whole family there with us.

Where it's stored: on Cloudflare's infrastructure, which may process data outside the UK under Cloudflare's own data-processing terms.
